REconcile

Reconcile

In communities across America we see: rising racial tension, police brutality, injustices and inequality, segregation, controversies like “black lives matter” vs “all lives matter”, and the most recent response “blue lives matter ”. Does one group mattering invalidate the others? Phrases like “white privilege” are offensive and blacks are continually stereotyped as uneducated and dangerous—even though we elected a black president...

Instead of arguing, our response at CRYOUT is The RECONCILE benefit concert: A space where we can use speeches, poetry, rap music, songs, essays, videos, articles, dance, panel discussions etc. to dialogue. At these events we would like to reintroduce LOVE, RESPECT, FORGIVENESS and hopefully come to a place of RECONCILIATION, first to GOD, then to our fellows.
